Hospitality entrepreneurs Angus & Leah Cattanach and Aydan Sturgess joined forces in early 2016 to commence work on an idea that started off as just a few hand drawn designs. Fast forward a few months, they had one of the last few remaining empty blocks in Fortitude Valley and were in talks with the landlord to transform what was an empty parking lot into the open-air multi-use entertainment venue it is today.

Bringing on board local design expert Michelle Khadye (formerly of Collectivus) teamed up with superstar PR/Marketing gurus Department Group, the dream team had been set. Numerous long days and late nights were spent poring over concepts and in a short space of time, X Cargo was born. The final piece of the puzzle was bringing in Chapcon Design and Construct as the team ready to bring the plans to life.

Chapcon worked tirelessly with the team to build what has been one of Brisbane’s most anticipated venue openings.
